Panorama #1.1

2006 - 2008

Panorama #1.1

2006 - 2008

Video pal, 4 :3, colour, stereo sound

1 to 7 video channel synchronized
Each 3'25'', in loop

Panorama is a work in progress, consisting of shots made on the highlights, such as the mountain summit, in the posture of a dervish, dancing to lose balance.
Faced with the vastness, the horizon as far as the eye can see, it creates vertigo, the mountain sickness until the nausea. A bit like what Stendhal described, but with works of art he admired during his travels in Italy.
It is a sensory game on a formal basis simple, repeating my fascination with the horizon, comparing the peaks of mountains, the minerality of the sea, altitude 0, and its hypnotic noise.

Panorama is designed to be presented in several screens in a dark space, its dimensions are variable depending on location.
